For those who are interested, this is a poll to help my decide what to post next. While I have a general plan in mind, it would help me out if I knew the interests of those following me.

Thank you and I appreciate you taking the time to answer.

Phony psychics and faked paranormal or why are my eyes tearing up?

They are out there in abundance and they hurt those who are really trying to demonstrate that the paranormal side of life is real, is happening and people are experiencing it.

A quick browse through You Tube with the keyword ghost will produce a multitude of videos that claim to be real, but are not.

Some are poltergeist activity caught on tape, others are ghosts that just happen to be captured while someone decided to film some place for no apparent reason.

Mixed in there, are some examples that feel quite genuine, but thanks to all the other videos, they get lost, discredited or dismissed out of hand.

Sadly, there are many out there who pretend to be psychics while using the tricks of a stage magician.

One of the more notorious ones that come to mind from my childhood is Uri Geller. Everything he did was totally contrary to how a person with true psychic abilities would act and use his abilities.

I mean, seriously, if you really had telekinetic powers, would you spend them all bending keys and spoons? Why not just move something with your mind if you’re that powerful? Why all the window dressing? Fortunately, many of his tricks have been revealed, but people like him hurt the psychic community a lot. Sceptics come out and use them as proof that psychics and spirits don’t exist. Sadly, they go to the other extreme, though I do respect the work they do.

As an Empath, you can normally tell what is real and what is faked. When you hit upon something that is real, your eyes will start to pickle, and tear up, even though you are not sad or emotional in any way. I guess that is the equivalent to goose bumps, which is that shiver that goes through you and you feel your skin start to literally crawl.

I used to experience the tearing eye phenomenon all the time, and could never work out what it was. No one was able to tell me either. Eventually, I understood that it was when I hit on a truth that was connected to the astral / spirit levels, it would happen. When I saw something that felt real, I would break into tears. I still do. It’s both disturbing and absorbing at the same time.

I know I’m not the only one who experiences this and for those of you who do, it’s an excellent way to determine if something is real or faked.

Personally, when something is faked, even if I don’t know anything about it, I will feel a sense of extreme annoyance and irritation about the subject. I will get feelings of belligerence and anger. If I look closer, it’s because it’s a subject that’s being touted as real or true, and people believe in it.

It’s the belief in this subject that causes those feelings. If the truth comes out that it is fake, those feelings dissipate.

For those of you reading my blogs, I would hope you would use those feelings to see if what I write about feels true, and resonates.

There are genuine psychics and genuine sightings out there. Some are indeed caught on video. Use your feelings to determine the ones that are real.

Depression series: Melancholy or Why does my heart feel so bad?

It’s only one line, but Moby made it into a whole song and if you’re an Empath, you might well feel that sense of depression when you watch the video.

For me, when I first saw this back in the year 2000, it brought out the pain of loneliness and a melancholy so profound that it was irresistible as it was seductive.

At the time, death was calling to me, and I felt it, and at some level, I knew it. And while that is a subject for a future blog, at the time, I felt the sweet surrender of despair and while hope remained eternal, I knew things were coming to an end.

And they did in some ways.

Empaths, especially psychic ones, can sense the future. They can sense when something is going to happen. There are many stories of how psychics couldn’t shake the feeling of doom weeks before 9/11, and I wonder how many picked up the coming tragedy of the Boston Marathon Bombings.

This is a different kind of depression to the other kinds. Make no mistake, it’s as potent as any other type, but this one also has a sense of fatalism that can’t be avoided.

You know something is going to happen. You don’t understand what, but it’s there. And your heart, and your soul is heavy and hurting. Your eyes are on the verge of tears, but there is no apparent reason, and all you want to do is curl up in a corner, and hide away.

I know when I finally move on from this life, my biggest regret is leaving those who do love me.

I know they will be fine, but the sense of loss is always there. For the most part, that’s what holds me here in this current lfe.

When a coming event changes life, the Empath will feel it, and they will mourn its passing, even though it has yet to occur.  Change is never easy, but it’s made harder when it hasn’t even happened yet.

Melancholy is a horrible form of depression to experience. More people experience it than you would suspect.

If you experience it, keep a diary, and compare it to major events that happen later. You might be surprised at the results.

Bach Flower Remedies that can help with this are:

Sweet Chestnut – when change is foisted upon you.

Star of Bethlehem – for Shock and trauma.

Aspen – For vague fear and anxiety.

Depression series – Diet (part 2) or I am what energies I eat.

Diet – part 2

Here are more suggestions of how food may contribute to depression, and avoiding it.

Avoid an excess of alcohol.

Apart from it not being good for health reasons, an empath can become severely depressed by being tipsy or drunk. It also might leave you more vulnerable to outside astral influences.

Balance your alkaline / acidic intake.

It is suggested that a 60% alkaline / 40% acidic balance should be the right balance for PH values.

Drink fresh fruit juice

Drink water with a few drops of lemon squeezed into it.

While I’m not a dietician, I do believe that empaths tend to ingest
the energy of foods they eat. Some foods have no real substance.

Avoid foods that might carry negative energy.
Food does carry its own type of energy. ..

I believe there are at least two energies it carries.
•       It’s natural resonance
•       Resonance that has been transferred into it.

Energy will tend to take on an external physical form and what you see is a representation of the energy within. The natural resonance of food is something that typifies the energies that will be passed into our bodies when we eat them.

Certain foods work better for you, depending on what you need.

When I look at food, I can sense if it will add anything good or negative to my energies.

Some things just don’t feel right for the body’s current energy need when you run them
past your intuition and some feel just right, though mostly in moderation.

An empath is very much susceptible to the energy of things, and this includes foods. When you eat something, you are ingesting the energy into your body and it becomes part of you.

Eating something that isn’t harmonic to you can throw you out of balance and effect how you feel.

Food that has been touched by others can transfer their emotions or vibrations into it. That might be anything from fear, anger, annoyance, tedium, frustration, love, etc, etc. When we eat something, we take those properties into our bodies.

Another factor to consider is how livestock is bred and if fear or discontentment, etc, has become part of who they were. When we eat these things, we may well be taking those things into our energy fields.

Naturally, you can’t avoid everything that might be tainted, but it certainly wouldn’t be a bad idea to try and buy things that have been humanely prepared. Also, as you don’t know the mood of the person who has prepared your food, it makes it a difficult task to know exactly what you might eat.

However, there is a simple solution which I believe would be quite effective.

Before you eat anything, bless your food.

Put your hand over whatever you’re about to eat and send positive energy and love to it and ask that all negative energies be  transmuted or replaced. It only need take a few seconds, but it may make a world of difference.

Before you decide what you want to eat, run your mind through the options and ask yourself if this is going to help you cope or not. Easier said than done, I know. Sometimes we just need ‘comfort’ food, but more often than not, we later regret it. We eat things that we don’t even want at the time, but feel we need something to get us through that moment.

Eat in moderation. Balance is certainly a key here.

When stressed or depression, we do tend to eat more and tend to seek out food that is tasty but not good for us,  but it only helps in the moment, and rarely beyond it.

Most of this information is obvious. Still, it doesn’t hurt to remind ourselves of it.

I really  think there is an industry out there for Empath friendly food.

Know an empath? Why not tell them they are one?

There’s a lot to be said about empaths. There are so many about, and it seems that many don’t even know they are one.

I have to wonder about how much difference it would make to this world is all the empaths were self-realized.

Imagine, for a moment, that there is someone you know who is clearly sensitive.

They hurt when others hurt.

See things that many can’t.

Suffer from depression for no known reasons.

Knows when you are down, and what you need.

And they just feel the pain of this world and take it on themselves.

So many people are like that and they believe they are crazy. Others tell them they are over sensitive. (As though, they can turn a knob and adjust how they feel!)

And yet, if someone said to them, you might well be an Empath, you should look into it, you might have not only changed someone’s life, but they might have even saved one.

There is now a lot of information out there on what an Empath is, what to do, and how to cope. This blog is dedicated to getting that information out there.

If you are an empath, you will sense other empaths. You will just know when you meet one. You might even sense it from their photo, their voice or just the energy you get over the phone or the net.

Let them know who they are and ask them to do the same for other empaths they know.

Eventually, there will be a critical point where Empahy will not only be accepted as normal, but embraced, and, dare I say it, a blessing and a joy to this world.

And yes, there is always the chance you might be ignored, you might feel you’ve made a mistake, and you might feel foolish or awkward.

But don’t let fear stop you from changing a life. You could be the one to change someone’s life for the better, and heal not only them, but future generations.

If you know someone who’s an Empath. Tell them.

Depression Series: Diet (part 1) or this depressing food is making me want more of it.

Diet – Part 1.

I have found diet to have a profound effect on depression.

When I eat certain foods, I find that it can make me feel depressed and sluggish afterwards. Below are my own observations on the subject and should not be taken as nutritional advise.

There are a million diet books out there, and lots of information on foods, and what is good for you or not, so I’m not trying to create my own diet plan.

Hopefully the below thoughts are useful to you.

Here are some of the things I’ve noticed in regards to food.

Avoid junk food.

Yes, this is a no brainer, but the energies in junk food are bad for an empath. We readily absorb energies, and if it’s negative energy, we are also ingesting it into our system.

Sugars can depress you.

Avoid confectionery such as diary milk chocolate, or anything that gives you a sugar rush. The spike in blood sugar and drop can really mess with your emotions. If you are susceptible to depression, it can affect you. In regards to chocolate, I’ve found that eating 85% cocoa and above dark chocolate helps satisfy the chocolate cravings. Your body gets more of what it craves without all the added bad junk.

Also note that the purer the chocolate, the more bitter it is, and so you won’t get that sugar fix, but you will definitely need much less to satisfy the craving.

We tend to eat ‘bad’ food, or food that taste great, but isn’t healthy, in an attempt to gain pleasure. When we’re having a bad day, eating something delicious can make us feel better, at least while we’re eating it. Even though I’ve never touched drugs, I understand that it’s similar to getting a high, except with food, the high is very quickly gone.

Little wonder that we eat to make ourselves feel better, especially when we’re feeling depressed, or having a bad day, or simply out of boredom.  It doesn’t help us, though, with dealing with depression on any meaningful way. It just makes it worse.

Try to eat organic certified foods.

It’s not what’s in it, but rather what isn’t it, such as chemicals.

Nowadays, our fruit and vegetables look perfect. The apples are whole and bright, and our vegetables look picture perfect. But when you eat them, they just don’t taste how they should.

An empath will notice, if they choose to do so, that the life force of the fruit is severely diminished. There’s an energy that can be smelt, felt and tasted. Today’s perfect looking food is lacking this.

Organic food may not look perfect, and the price is certainly higher, but it’s better for you, and really, you need less of it as it contains more of the building blocks that your body needs to repair itself and keep itself in good health.
