Past lives: Why we remember and why we don’t.

past lives clockIn my last entry, I asked the question: If past lives are not important, why do we remember them?

When I’m unsure of the answer, I’ll sometimes ask my guides to channel one. As usual, their response is in italics.

This dialogue also ended up being more personal than I thought it would, so if that kind of stuff does not interest you, feel free to skip it.

So, my question to you is: If past lives are not important, then why do we remember? In fact, why did you go out of the way to help me remember?

It very much depends on what your soul agenda is. Are you here to experience yourself in the presence of what is not you? If so, then it generally is not required that you remember who you are. You will experience this without knowing or remembering anything about your past or future existence. (Which is all happening now.)

So, what you’re saying is that if we want to just experience who we are, we need to forget everything so we can do this?

Yes. That is the basis of most people’s experience here. It doesn’t matter what they did or what they were before, they can choose to forget everything they ever knew and have a life that seems completely independent of everything they ever experienced. Of course, they will not remember this, so they will assume they have only one life.

Is this a good way to do such a thing? The answer is: depends. There is no right or wrong way, just what suits your purposes and soul agenda.

And some people have no other agenda than to live a life without any recall of their other ones.

You, on the other hand, are not here to just experience who you are. You have a very clear and defined agenda. In your case, it is quite important that you remember who you are, and why you are here.

I guess so. I’ve certainly got a few comments that me defining who I am, and who others are is not a good idea.

If it wasn’t what you needed to do, you simply wouldn’t be doing it. As I said, you have a very clear agenda in mind. You have a very lofty goal and you would have great difficulty achieving it without those memories. Do you think anything you’ve managed to do in the past 20 years would have been achieved if you had no clue as to how it all fitted together?

It’s possible. Things seemed to happen regardless of what I wanted. Especially back then.

Then you reached a point where you could proceed no further until you began to understand exactly who you were. You were even told this at the time (though you rejected it out of hand).

Okay, so whether it’s important for us to remember past lives depends on what we are here to do then?

Yes. As we said, you have very specific goals and agendas. You also have stated that you do not wish to return so you need to get it right ‘now’ and not stumble about blindly.

So… what exactly am I hear to do that is so important?

Your main agenda is to help people remember who they are. Give their power back to them and have them understand that they have the ability to create the life they desire. Too many feel they have no control and have to live with the hands they feel they are dealt with. Little do they realize that they choose those very hands they believe to be random.

How does me knowing who I am help here? Surely I can just read this stuff in books and pass on it on to others.

You can’t read in books what you have remembered. You can’t find that information online. It simply doesn’t exist at this point of time. No, you can only impart it once you remember it. And on that subject, when are you going to start doing so?

I thought I was already doing that. Isn’t that what this blog and my websites are all about?

In part. That is general information. The knowledge you can pass on can help explain why this world is in such a mess. It can explain why things happened the way they did. It can help people understand some of the history and what can be done to create a higher version of this life.

But you hold back on doing this. Why?

Maybe because the information is so out there, I would doubt it would be believed in any way shape or form.

So, you’re deciding for others if they are going to believe it not? Fear is never a good enough reason not to do something. Yes, your information might appear to be ‘out there’ but think about this. People, who are meant to find it, will find it. They can only find it if you’re ready to put it there.

Empath information is wonderful, but you have other things you can share. It’s time that people understood that they are not the only ones experiencing the things that you do. You can give them this gift. Don’t worry about how it will look. People will make their own decisions regardless of what you write. Some will accept it. Some will reject it. That’s not for you to decide. That is their own life-path. Your job is to make the information available. What people choose to do with it is then up to them.

Okay, well, I think I’ve gotten somewhat off the topic here.

No, the topic is why remember past lives? In order for you to do what you must do, you need to remember. It’s that simple.

So, to sum it up, it depends on the individual and what they wish to achieve?

Exactly. Hence, do not tell another what they should or should not try, especially if it feels right for them. You have to right to do what you need to do and they have the right to ignore you.

That sounds like an open invitation for chaos.

All actions have consequences. Always be mindful of that. If your actions do not reflect who you are, and where you going, then you are best not doing them. If you wish for chaos, act chaotically, but remember, you will end up in a world that reflects that. If you wish for peace, then act peacefully, and you will end up in the world that reflects that.

Choose wisely.

Empath Series: Empath guidebook or anyone want a free e-book?

Over the years, I considered writing a book for the Empath. Initially it was going to be Empathy 101, but when I finally looked around some years later, I found that many had already done that.

So, I decided it would probably be a better idea to write a book that was for the beginning and the advanced Empath alike.

One that went into greater details and one that gave techniques to turn the curse into a blessing.

And above all, one that could be accessible to everyone.

Sadly, I’m not given to writing simply and clearly. My words are said to be too ‘fancy’ and I deal with concepts that are every day for me, but completely new for others.

For this, I can only apologize, but it is my style, and I really haven’t worked out a way to resolve it.

So, a couple of years ago, I began work on the Empath Guidebook. So called because it was both a guide book, and I channelled my guide to help write it.

As it goes, it works for me, and I can get a lot more written when I use that technique.

Does it work as a useful book? I’ve not had enough feedback to know one way or the other.

Feedback is something people rarely give.

However, for those who actually read this blog, and want more information on Empaths, this book might well be worth your while.

I have toyed with the idea of using extracts, from time to time, on this blog, but I’ve found there’s still a lot of subject matter to cover, so I’ll just post a link to the actual document.

It is also my desire to discuss that wonderful article by ‘Just Be’ called 30 traits of an Empath with my guide. I have asked permission from the author and been granted it.

I plan to expand the book from time to time, as new ideas and information comes up.

This e-book is free.

If you decide to read it, and find it useful, please pass it onto someone who you feel can benefit from it.

Paranormal series: Dos and don’ts of channeling or does this fit my belief system?

Last post, I relayed my rare experience of getting a prediction that actually came true.

All that aside, getting answers to questions is not as quick and easy as just asking someone. At least, an answer that is useful and meaningful. Sometimes I can, for whatever reason, just see how things will pan out, and they do so as I foresaw, but it can be hit and miss.  There are too many variables. But getting information on demand is not something I can easily do.

Now, I have heard of people who get very strong messages to pass on to others, and I would say that fall under the category of soul calls.

I’ve certainly had that from time to time, too. I’ll have a strong pull to pass on a message. I don’t know if the source is a guide, a departed one or just a call for what someone needs to hear, but when the pull is strong, I will always answer it.

Then there are the times when I do get an answer, and it’s not the one I was expecting.  Sometimes I’ll get told that the person is making something up and I then feel like an idiot for believing them in the first place.

Even though I can sense truth, I tend to put myself in a space where I’m open to what someone tells me (as I do not judge), though at times, I often get a sense of anxiety when something isn’t right, but I tend to ignore it if the person seems to believe what they are telling me.

The problem then is, what do I say when I find out someone isn’t being truthful with me? Do I call them on it and tell them that they are embellishing their story or do I fade away from their lives?

Sometimes it’s just a matter of people exaggerating the truth.

The point really is, though, that just because you have a guide or you are in contact with a spirit, it doesn’t mean you have all the answers, or even some of them.

Generally, I find that there are several factors in getting correct information.

It depends on:

  • Your own level of awareness.
  • Your ability to ‘hear’ what is really being communicated to you.
  • Not filling in the blanks for information you are not receiving clearly.
  • Your ability to accept things that are not in your current belief system.

I’ve certainly fallen prey to all of the above at various points in my life. The stories told to me from my guides were ‘dumbed’ down at the time because I just couldn’t accept anything else. Even then, what was told was hard enough to believe (in spite of all the evidence supporting things.) When I received clarification later on, I found that it was the same story, except it was more fully fleshed out.

Sometimes, you just have to admit that you don’t know the answers, at least not yet. Sometimes it might take decades to reach a place where you do and sometimes it may not happen at all in your current life.

Letting go of preconceived ideas and ego can be terribly difficult, especially as we don’t like to be wrong, and we feel our own credibility is on the line. There’s also this odd perception that psychic people can do everything all the time and without any effort. That simply is not the case. I doubt there’s a single psychic out there that can be ‘on’ all the time without suffering severe burn out or will not get very ill because of it.

There have certainly been enough times where I’ve found out I’ve been wrong to make me question just how psychic I might be and just where those thoughts in my mind are coming from. Are they mine, or do they really come from a guide?

But then, I’ve also had really specific information given to me from time to time that I find out later that it was true.

Those are really wow moment for me. Generic information is easy. Anyone can do that. Specific information, now that’s a talent.

Anyone can say: My dear, I see you’ve had some trauma in your life, and it’s affected you.

Well, unless you’ve lived a charmed life that would certainly apply to most anyone. Now, if you could specify the type of trauma and when, then that’s another story.

Be aware of those who claim to be of the psychic world. Be critical. It’s okay to be wrong. It’s okay to not believe. Just because there are fakers out there, it does not mean everyone is fake.

Just remember, this is not an exact science.

But we are always learning, and being wrong is just as important as being right. Look at it critically. See how you felt at the time you received your information. Did it flow? Where there any anxieties? Did you feel any resistance in passing it on? Self observation is very important to success.

It’s okay to say: Yeah, it wasn’t right this time, but at least we’ve learned something from it.

Spirit Guides – Part 8 – Sign, sign, everywhere a sign. (Showing my age here!)

Contacting your guides – part 2

The following blog  is a 8 part series on Spirit Guides, my experiences, and what you might do in order to contact your own.

Enjoy

Guides can communicate in other ways. Sometimes they might throw a sign your way (such as a shooting star at a critical moment or maybe something moving that shouldn’t be able to move, though logically, I’m sure they can’t make a shooting star appear, but they can certainly make sure you’re there to see one. Timing is everything. And yes, I have experienced these things during such times as looking for a sign, and it’s fair to say they don’t happen at other times when I’m not.)

They can come through tools such as tarot cards or the I Ching. They can manifest physically and guide you. They might be able to affect you physically and pull you out of harm’s way.

I’m sure there are some who would suggest that I should see a psychologist or that I am crazy or should seek a cure and maybe they’re right. However, as I’m able to function as a normal member of society, I am not terribly concerned about it.

The question to ask yourself is: Who can make me a better offer?

If you’re happy with how things are, why would you make them worse because someone has decided that your reality doesn’t suit theirs? They are not living your life, nor will they take responsibility for it if things go wrong because you’ve followed their advice.

The other thing I have done over the years is what would be called ‘automatic writing’. I write down a question, and then the response comes, which it typed without any thought or focus on my own part.

Practice makes perfect when doing this, and the more you do, the easier it becomes.

For me, it was a challenge when starting off. I first decided to do it back in 1995 and from time to time, would try it again. Eventually I found that I was able to get to the point where useful information was being produced. (Some of this material, which is relevant for empaths will be posted on a blog.)

The format ended up taking the same formula as in the Conversations with God books written by Neale Donald Walsch. However, as I did not read any of his books until the year 2000, I can say that I am not plagiarizing his style.

When it comes down to it, these books write themselves, and there isn’t much you can do to produce a more friendly format, at least from what I am aware of.

Be aware of signs around you. Don’t make everything into a sign, though, and above all trust your feelings.

The best thing you can do is ask for them to reveal themselves in some way, and then be aware of events that happen.

In the end, your feelings will tell you if it’s real or not. Don’t dismiss them. They are your best guide.

Spirit Guides – Part 7 – There are voices in my head (and they don’t like you!)

Contacting your guides – Part 1

The following blog  is a 8 part series on Spirit Guides, my experiences, and what you might do in order to contact your own.

Enjoy

The heading is flippant, but couldn’t resist.

From time to time, I’m asked how someone can get in contact with their guides. All I can do is pass on my own personal experience.

I’ve always had thoughts in my head. Sometimes they might be my own, of course, but much of the time they feel different, as though they are more rarefied.  In both cases, they are a voiceless voice:  Thoughts that come to my mind without any logical connection or volition on my part. The energy attached to each one is quite distinct though. The best I can put it is that it’s like listening to different musical notes. Each one sounds quite unique.

I’ve had two main kinds of communications of this sort.

The first is just a general conversation, like you would have with a 3D person.  This is a very interesting experience as it’s like carrying a chat partner around with you 24/7. This type of chat tends to be mostly discussing philosophy, teaching me information I need to know or just giving me insights. I used to spend a lot of time arguing with them in the early years, even before I acknowledged them as guides. I don’t do this much anymore.

Every ‘but’ stops you from becoming who you wish to be.

I also find that the conversations come through strongest when I’m walking, or am in certain areas such as a closed off room. Also, I get my strongest messages when having a shower.

The second kinds of communication are short messages.

These are often just a few words long, but will repeat over and over until I understand the message. This can and has taken years in some cases. It also seems that no sooner do I comprehend one message that it gets replaced with another. As an example, one of the most prolific ones I had, which would lasted a good seven or so years were the continual words: “Who are you?” and “You are the phoenix.” (for those who know me, that message will make sense.)

I got these many times an hour, every day until I made sense of it. I must admit, I’m a bit slow as I never noticed the two statements as being connected.

I find the best way to talk to my guides is to ask the question and then let things come naturally. Trying to force an answer will result in no answer or an answer that comes from your own thoughts.

A forced answer tends to be a tainted answer, especially if you have an attachment to the answers. The more you push, the further away it becomes.

I often find that when someone asks me: What do you guides say? I try to get an answer, but I don’t hear them. It’s actually pretty annoying, but the moment I relax, information starts to come through.

In my case, I get those short messages every time my guard is down and when I’m chatting with my guides, I treat them as though I’m chatting with another person. When you have a conversation, you say your piece, but you don’t have to focus on making the other person respond, they either will or they won’t. If they do, it will take no effort on your part.

Many people often dismiss guides as their own imaginings. What they fail to understand is that sometimes your imagination can be used as a means of communication.

Of course, this does not automatically mean that everything you receive is from another entity or if it is, it’s automatically true. In fact, you may find the opposite to be true.

Always run the words and the source past your feelings. If something resonates, then it’s right for you. If it doesn’t, then take a closer look.
