Causes of depression – Invalidation

Invalidation

Invalidation

Invalidation can lead to despondency, frustration and cause depression. In this entry, we take a In-depth look at it.

It may seem like an unlikely cause, but depressive episodes can stem from not being taken seriously.

Let me explain.

What it is.

To understand why the lack of validation is a problem, we first should look at what it is.

A quick search on Google will show: Recognition or affirmation that a person or their feelings or opinions are valid or worthwhile.

This sums it up succinctly.

I’m sure we’ve all had the experience of knowing something about a subject or person, only to be told that you are incorrect.

Or worse, that what you are feeling is wrong.

Causes of depression – Anxiety

Anxiety words

Anxiety

Anxiety. We all have it. It can also lead to depression. This is a major problem. It has been for a long time, but it wasn’t as recognized as it is today. I’ve personally suffered from this condition and the causes have been many. In these entries, I am going to explore the ones I have uncovered. Hopefully it will help those of you who suffer from it. I will also suggest what Bach Flower Remedies will treat those conditions.

Not a normal state of being

I first noticed I had depression as a child. It didn’t help that I didn’t fit in with others and felt that I was imposing on people. Also, my thoughts and motivations were unusual. I just didn’t ‘get’ it.

Back then, there was no one to notice I was in this state as it was the 60s and 70s, and such things were never discussed or acknowledged.

It wasn’t till the early 1980s that my depression became crippling.

I certainly didn’t understand what was going on, and those I tried to tell just dismissed it or told me to get over it.

Throughout the decades, I have gone through many bouts of depression. The interesting thing about them is that each episode had a different cause.

Working out what each one was, allowed me to take the appropriate remedies to heal it.

Guides – what not to do

This is a two part look at spirit guides. Part one looked at how they may communicate with you. This entry looks at dos and don’ts and how you might end up with your guides, guardian angels, or whatever you may choose to call them. What you should do, and more importantly, what not to do.

Contracts

You might well ask: How do we even get guides?

Generally, there are a few ways.

You might contract their help before you come here. (Or sometimes you might do it while you are incarnated in your body.)

You might have a discussion with them about what you need, and why you want them, and offer payment for their services. (Not money, though. That has no use in the astral levels. Energy is generally the currency of the astral realms.)

This is not uncommon, as everyone has their own missions and things to do. If you need guides with special abilities or skills, expect to offer something in return.

These types of guides could also include gods, angelics, demonics and other such beings. Generally, no one does anything without an exchange on these levels. It’s just how it works.

Also, DO NOT try and get a demonic as a guide. They find it demeaning and will most likely screw you over for their own pleasure. They would have to be paid extraordinarily well to even seriously consider helping you.

Guides

A question that comes up a lot for me is how do you speak to your spirit guides? Can you communicate with them telepathically? What are the signs? How do you hear your guides in your mind? In this two part series, we look at ways that guides may communicate with us.

Repeated Short Messages

One type of communication, that I have always gotten, comes in the form of repeated short messages.

These are often just a few words that are repeated over and over again, until I finally understand them.

There is no time limit on them. Some of my messages have been going on since the 80s and show no signs of slowing down.

I have never quite identified the source of them, but they are what I call the ‘pure’ messages.

They can’t be stopped. They happen anytime there is a ‘quiet’ moment. It’s like someone put them on a tape loop.
